Welcome
After years working in healthcare sitting at a desk my doctor told me I had high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I was young enough I could fix it with diet and exercise or I could go on medication in a few years. I chose the former, starting with training for a half-marathon before transitioning into Obstacle Course Racing. Since then I’ve completed over 100 events with everything from 1 mile fun runs to overnight ultra-endurance. My motto is sign up and show up.
I quickly found a passion for fitness and made the leap to coaching and personal training. Through my fitness career I came to realize how every body is complex and that physical well-being is the key to mental and emotional wellness. I also saw how the health and fitness industry were contributing to so much of the negativity I experienced from clients, and I began to develop a more organic definition of health and fitness that allowed me to create deep connections with clients to help them achieve their goals.
I started Benchmark Fitness and Coaching to help others find confidence and happiness in themselves through physical fitness. I believe that everyone has a story to tell and their story matters. My mission is to help you tell your best story starting with taking care of your physical body.
